New Project with BlackBerry & Porsche Design

Over the past 6 months I had the amazing opportunity to work closely with BlackBerry to take their new BBM to market and add a revolutionary feature, the Camera View. Now used by millions of BlackBerry users, this quite exciting new product is connected to a second project I worked on, the P9981, a smartphone created by Porsche Design and BlackBerry.

Time Space Everything

Last August I had the great opportunity to go to New Delhi, India and work with the talented digital artist Archan Nair. While we worked on our project for GQ Magazine, I realized some distinctive difference between a digital artist and a digital designer. As an illustrator I was curios to explore a style between art and design. The outcome is my biggest collaborative effort yet with over hundred artworks and my first art book.

What is my job and why am I doing it?

The plain and simple answer is, I am a designer and I love my job. But what does it mean to design for clients like BlackBerry, China Mobile or Mercedes? To work in a constantly evolving industry, associated with companies like Apple and BMW, designer kitchen tools, all the way up to our favourite items like the desk I am sitting at right now?
